Although a search warrant affidavit contains information obtained illegally in violation of defendants Fourth Amendment rights, the exclusionary rule does not require suppression of evidence subsequently obtained pursuant to such warrant, where the warrant is supported by information genuinely derived from an independent source; such evidence is not admissible if an officers decision to seek the warrant was prompted by what was observed during an initial unlawful entry or if such entry was made known to and affected the decision of the magistrate issuing the search warrant.
